Do I pay upfront?
No, we take payment when the transfer has been complete.
What if my tapes are blank?
If on inspection we find any tape is blank, you will not be charged anything for that one tape.
My tape has snapped, can you repair and then capture it?
Yes, on most occasions tape repair is a fairly simple procedure. We’ll advise you on our course of action when we receive the damaged tape.
How do I send my media to you?
If you’re unable to drop your media off to us, we recommend using a secure delivery service such as Royal Mail Special Delivery or a dedicated courier such as DPD or DHL
Will I get my media back?
Yes we always ask if you’d like your media returned. If you’ve decided you don’t want it back, we’ll dispose of it on your behalf.
What video formats can you convert?
We can convert most standard domestic tapes such as VHS & Betamax plus the vast majority of camcorder tapes, Video 8, Hi8, Digital 8, DV, VHS-C. We’re also able to convert professional full size DVCAM.
How will I receive my order?
All transfers are uploaded to your own personal web page where you can directly stream or download your content direct to your phone, tablet, TV or computer. If you’ve opted for DVD or USB, these will be posted Special Delivery or via a dedicated courier company (package size dependant).
If I choose streaming and download, can my video be viewed by the general public?
No your uploaded video is only accessible via a password protected link. The only people who will be able to view it will need the direct link and password. This is only known to you.
Can you convert copyrighted material?
Copyrighted material cannot be converted without the direct consent of the owner.
How long does it all take?
This really depends on the order size. However we aim to complete most transfers with 1 week. This timing can change at busier periods such as the run up to Christmas. Please ask for more details when ordering.
